Terms & Condition

1.1 Platform Role: YellowTaxi Jordan provides an electronic platform that connects independent third-party transport providers ("Drivers") with individuals seeking transportation services ("Riders"). 

1.2 Independent Contractor: You acknowledge that Yellow Taxi does not provide transportation services or function as a transportation carrier. All transportation services are provided by independent third-party contractors who are not employees or agents of YellowTaxi. 

2.1 Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the services. 

2.2 Account Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information (Name, phone number, payment details). Failure to maintain accurate information may result in your inability to access the Platform. 

2.3 Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. 

3.1 Compliance: Users agree to use the Platform in compliance with all applicable laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. 

3.2 Passenger Conduct: Riders shall not cause nuisance, annoyance, inconvenience, or property damage to the Driver or their vehicle. 

3.3 Service Charges & Damages: Riders are responsible for the cost of repair for damage to, or necessary cleaning of, vehicles resulting from use of the Services under your account in excess of normal "wear and tear." 

4.1 Fares: YellowTaxi calculates estimated or fixed fares based on distance, duration, traffic, and demand. The final fare will be displayed upon requesting the ride or calculated at the end of the trip. 

4.2 Payment Methods: Payments can be made via credit/debit cards, in-app wallets, or Cash (where applicable). 

4.3 Cancellation Fees: You may be charged a cancellation fee if you cancel a ride request after a specific timeframe or if the Driver cancels due to your failure to show up at the pickup location within the designated time. 

4.4 Taxes: All fares are subject to applicable local taxes and government regulations in Jordan. 

5.1 Verification: Drivers must provide a valid Government-issued ID, public driving license, clear criminal record, and valid vehicle registration/insurance documents. 

5.2 Vehicle Standard: Drivers must maintain their vehicles in good operating and aesthetic condition, meeting all local safety standards. 

5.3 Independent Status: Drivers operate as independent service providers and have full discretion to accept or reject ride requests. 

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal and location data. By agreeing to these Terms, you also consent to our data practices as outlined in the Privacy Policy. 

7.1 "As Is" Basis: The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all representations and warranties, express or implied, not expressly set out in these terms. 

7.2 Third-Party Actions: YellowTaxi is not liable for the conduct, actions, or omissions of any Driver or Rider. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, suitability, or ability of third-party providers. 

7.3 Incidental Damages: To the maximum extent permitted by Jordanian law, YellowTaxi shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, or personal injury related to, or resulting from any use of the services. 

You agree to indemnify and hold YellowTaxi, its officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of any third party (including Drivers).

YellowTaxi reserves the right to temporarily or permanently suspend, terminate, or restrict your access to the Platform at any time, without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or low user/driver ratings. 

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Amendments will be effective upon our posting of such updated Terms on the app or website. Your continued access or use of the Platform after such posting constitutes your consent to be bound by the Terms, as amended. 

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the breach, termination, enforcement, or interpretation thereof shall be settled exclusively by the competent courts in Amman, Jordan.
